Therapeutic Massage

Massage is an holistic therapy and has a profound affect on our health. As well as being a form of passive exercise, it improves circulation, aids digestion and improves the metabolism. It works on the lymph system and helps with the elimination of toxins and waste products. Massage also aids the release of the bodies own tranquillizers from the brain (endorphins), which in turn helps relieve stress and anxiety. Oil, such as sweet almond or coconut, is used, and the treatment can produce a deep feeling of relaxation. It is very important to drink plenty of water after a massage to help flush through waste products and toxins, and preferable to cut back on tea, coffee and alcohol for a day or two.
